I'm just writing
and talking out my book with a cat
and, yes, someone I loved died,
in a terribly unfair way
but they're right here in these pages....

Comments:
37,2 le matin... loved this film.

Courage for everything. We never know what to say on these moments so I shall say to you : Good Writing.

Emma, I'm sorry for your loss. I keep a few words from Leonard Cohen's Beautiful Losers at my desk. I think I remember that you liked the book. Maybe you remember this verse: O Friend, take my spirit hand and remember me. You were loved by a man who read your heart very tenderly, who sought your unformed dreams as his resting place. Think of me from time to time.

Take good care of yourself. xo

the Master calls....the butterfly."

My thoughts are with you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You know my thoughts are with you :-) be nice to yourself and take your time and write. And there is nothing like a cat to comfort you when you're sad ;-) I should know, mine always knows when something is up. I bet yours do, too.

ps I love that clip.

I'm feeling guilty because you've all been so generous, when I'm actually dwelling on a loss from earlier in the year. I thought I had dealt with it, but winter time is bringing it sharp into focus. Not to mention the fact that he's a big part of the book I'm working so hard on. I posted the clip because I think the film, 'Betty Blue', has the loveliest take on picking yourself up off the ground and celebrating the person you lost, and what they meant to you.

I am sorry for your sorrow darling, keep yourself in good care and in good company...

Don't feel guilty, a loss is a loss. Some people just become part of us, in the way they affected us and the way we love them, and losing them is a hard thing to deal with. I still feel sad for a friend I lost two years ago. Hell recently I cried over my grandfather who died when I was 5. Life is just cruel like that sometimes, but in return it also gives love, so cherish the love around you. Like Anonymous said; good company.

Thank you for the lovely clip Emma it will stay with me all day.
Dealing with loss takes time, be kind to yourself. I'll be thinking of you.

No need to feel guitly, honestly...
Grief is a weird feeling...it keeps sneaking up on you when you least expect it...it can be a color, a smell, an old photo or *that* time of year.
My father died almost 5 years ago...am I over it...Hell, NO...*big* time NO.
My grand-mother who I loved dearly died 9 years ago and I still miss her like crazy sometimes...my grand-dad died 24 years ago and ,yes, it still hurts at times, believe it or not.

There is no expiration date for grief...

Take care

No need to feel *guitly*...*guitly*...arggll...is that a word LOL.
